SimsFanZone is Back!

Hey Simmers...

We are finally back, after restoring one of our old back ups from November, the site is now back up and running again. For those of you who don't know, our site was completely wiped clean by our incompetant host, and we have had to use a back up from November, which we know is not ideal, but it will have to do!
Unfortunately as we have had to use an older back up, it means that:

* Member's who joined after 1st November will have to re-register as your accounts have completely gone
* Links might not work as they were linking to old parts of the site, which were non-recoverable! (if you find dead links, please report them to the administrator)
* Photogallery images have gone, all 2000+ of them, this will be a long process to get them back, but if you would like to contribute, please sign in and click the submit photo button at the bottom of the navigation panel (members only)
* Over 1000+ forum posts have gone and are non-recoverable, this is not a pressing issue but if you find your forum post has gone, just re-post it.
* Most BBcodes are currently not working, we are working to try and fix this issue A.S.A.P
* The Guestbook lost most of it's entries, if you would like to leave us a new guestbook message, please feel free to do so!
* Some parts of the site are still offline, this is because we are working behind the scenes restoring the content which was on them.
* Around 500 comments have been removed and are un-recoverable, again unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this but to apologise for any inconvenience caused!
* Around 100+ News items have gone, we are not going to recover the news items as it is now old news, but we will still be covering current stories!

I am sure there are things we have missed off this list but if you find any dead-links or parts of the site that are not working properly, please report it to the administrator, or e-mail us directly through our Contact page.

We are really sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and are working hard to try and get the site back to it's former glory, thanks for your patience and we hope to have the site full functioning very shortly.

The Sims 3 for PS3 and XBOX 360?

Wow, it seems that owners of PS3's and XBOX 360's will get to play The Sims 3 on the selected console's after all! It is still unsure if The Sims 3 will be coming to the Wii but who know's? In time maybe...

According to a job listing on industry news site Gamasutra, Edge of Reality is collaborating with EA on "multi-platform titles with The Sims Studio," which only makes Sims games. The open position in question--lead designer--notes that the game, which an Edge of Reality representative confirmed has yet to be announced, is in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The Sims 3 Game Update to: 1.4

The Sims 3 has now officially released another patch for the game, this time it fixes problems with the previous patch which Addressed an issue where a user was unable to uninstall The Sims 3 if the 1.3 update was interrupted, check out the feature list over at TheSims3.com Thanks to SimOperations for the find! Sims 3 Store Update

Sims 3 Sells 3.7Million Copies! & TS3 Fansite Kit

According to TechSpot 'The Sims 3 racks up 3.7 million sales in past quarter' The Sims franchise continues to do strong. It�s latest installment, The Sims 3, has helped EA rack up a massive $644 million in sales for its fiscal first quarter of 2010, with over 3.7 million copies of the game shipping out worldwide. Wow I knew that the game sold well but not that well!

EA Reveals The Sims 3 World Adventures!

Wow and just as I said the sims news was slow, EA Finally announced the first Sims 3 Expansion pack, The Sims are off on an adventure to famous destinations around the world! EA today announced that The Sims� 3 World Adventures, the first expansion pack to the #1 best-selling PC and MAC game in June 2009, The Sims 3, is in development and will ship to retailers worldwide the week of November 16, 2009.

We�re thrilled with the global success of The Sims 3 over these last few months and are looking forward to expanding on the gameplay experience with one of the most robust expansion packs to The Sims yet,� said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims at EA.�Players will be able to take their Sims on the adventure of a lifetime and explore lands outside of Sunset Valley and Riverview, pursue thrilling new life destinies in locations around the world inspired by famous destinations, and immerse themselves in the open-ended gameplay where they�ll discover new cities in China, France and Egypt and share new stories.�
